Review – Star Witch (The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Magic #2)

This is the second book that follows the story if Ivy Wilde. Star Witch takes us on another adventure and another encounter with the pompous Adeptus Exemptus Raphael Winter, whom Ivy would rather avoid.

She has been freed to carry on her non-witching life in peace, until something odd happens, and it has something to do with her favourite ‘reality’ TV show, Enchantment. When Winter and the Order show up, she is desperate to say no and kick them out, but when she finds out the small detail of it being all based around that show, she is totally on board. Someone has been killed, and they are sure magic was involved, she needs to keep an eye on the recording of the show, the contestants, the crew, the producers, everyone and everything. Oh, and she also has to report it all back to Winter.

Of course, that isn’t how it all goes and Ivy ends up BEING a contestant on the show! Her soft spot for Winter is back, and more blood is being spilt. But is being a real witch and a contestant all too much for her? Especially since she is still harbouring feelings for that guy?

Just like the first instalment, totally LOVED this! I loved that it was different from the first, but kept the characters true. I have one issue, that I have had to wait for the third book to be printed so that I can get my hands on it and find out what happened!

Helen Harper‘s writing is a strong as ever with this book, I am enjoying the series and cannot wait for there to be more. It’s been a while since I’ve been this hooked on a particular writer, so I really can not wait for there to be more.
